This image was one that really stood out for me, even though it was a bit of a fluke and yet I have been back several times and tried to replicate it, with slightly different framing, and not got the results I was after.
It was taken using a Nikon D-SLR, tripod mounted, one cold November night beneath Saltburn Pier.
The misty effect is from the sea, as five and six foot waves lapped at the shoreline, the 5 second exposure for the image renders the water as a mist, lit by under the pier lighting.
Being in mono, and with the unusual long exposure effect, it stands out and is one of my favourites.
It is available as a wall print, framed or as a canvas from my Photobox Pro Gallery.
