This location is one of my favourites, returning to it from time to time, looking for that perfect combination of light, weather and serenity.
Photography can be an addictive hobby. Midnight was approaching when I headed out with camera and tripod. The moon was hiding behind thinly veiled clouds.
This location, the framing and composition, worked well for me.
The railings and steps leading downwards naturally draw the eye through the image.
Huntcliff and the moon provide the detail in the distance which you tend to focus on.
And then the eye moves downwards, and left, towards the tranquil sea, looking almost frozen in time.
And black and white, well, because at night, the shapes and shadows come alive, spurring the imagination.
This is available as a print, canvas and in other mediums on my PhotoBox Pro Gallery.
